Busy Night of Racing at the Burg Highlighted by the Inaugural Zack Bolton Memorial

Honaker, Virginia's Tyler Arrington Wins the River City 40

The American All-Star Pro Late Model Series made their first ever trip to the Legendary Lawrenceburg Speedway. Twenty-three cars from six different states made the trip to the Burg to do battle. Heat race winners were Ryan Smith from Rogersville, TN, Zane Powell from Junction City, KY and Nichoas Byrd from Cincinnati, OH. The feature was dominated early by Zane Powell and led the first 29 laps from the outside of row 1. Josh Dietz stormed from his row 4 starting spot to 2nd and stalked Powell for several laps. The track was extremely racy and had four different racing grooves. Tyler Arrington got by Dietz and then overtook Powell for the lead on lap 30. Arrington went on to lead the last 11 laps. Finishing out the top 5 were Josh Dietz, Trevor Sise, Josh Chesney and Parker Perry.

Snell Wins First Zack Bolton Memorial

Defending track champion, Nick Snell, won the first annual Zack Bolton Memorial feature in dominating fashion leading all but 1 lap in the 20 lap feature. After a caution on the initial start, the second attempt at a start lined up Nick Snell on the pole and Matt Hamilton outside. Polesitter Jason Bilyeu pulled off the track under the first caution. As the green flag flew, Snell dove deep in turn 1 alongside Hamilton. The two cars touched causing damage to Hamilton’s left rear and after leading the opening lap, Hamilton had to retire from the event. That turned the lead over to Nick Snell who led the remaining 19 laps on his way to the feature win. The rest of the top 5 were Jason Hollon, Aaron Branham, Scotty Kincaid, and Mason Bilyeu. Heat Race winners were Matt Hamilton and Nick Snell. The UMP Modifieds return to the track on Saturday, August 23rd.

The rest of the top 5 were Josh Tidwell, Casey Ulm, Ron Landers and Steven Holt. Heat race winners were Carson Freeman and Casey Ulm. The Sport Modifieds return to Lawrenceburg on Saturday, September 27th.

The best battle throughout the race was for the runner up spot where 3 cars were battling it out for second place. As the checkered flag flew, Chevy Gibson finished second followed by Landon Ramirez, Alex West and Ryan Paciocco. Heat race winners were Cordell Moore and Chevy Gibson. The Lawrence Motorsports Trailer Sales Hornets return to Lawrenceburg on Saturday, September 13th.

McRoberts Wins Again

Will McRoberts won for the 4th time this year in the Impact Sports Pro Stock class. Week in and week out, he has shown to be the class of the field and this night was no exception. McRoberts led from the opening lap with Gary Rahe, Jr. quickly putting his car in the second spot and at times appearing to get close to McRoberts but never close enough to make the pass. Ashton Cohee finished third followed by Gary Hume and Eli McRoberts. Heat race winners were Will McRoberts and Gary Rahe, Jr. The Impact Sports Pro Stocks return to the track on Saturda, August 23rd.
