May 10th Recap

Hume Wins JR Clark Memorial!

Osgood, Indiana native, Gary Hume led all 20 laps on his way to winning the 2nd running of the JR Clark Memorial. He took home the $1000 winner’s purse as he grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag with Will McRoberts following him closely for the first half of the race. As the laps accumulated, Hume settled down and was able to extend the lead over McRoberts. McRoberts was never close enough to mount a serious challenge. The rest of the top 5 were Will McRoberts, Danny Eichler, Cody Ellison, and
Mickey Hines. Heat race winners were Will McRoberts and Gary Hume. The Impact Sports Pro Stocks return to the track on Saturday May 17th.

Hamilton Wins a Thriller!

Matt Hamilton picked up the Kolossal Fireworks Insanity Modifiied Feature win after a thrilling duel with defending track champ Nick Snell. The two traded the lead throughout the 20-lap feature with both drivers racing each other extremely hard. As the feature neared the end, the all-time winningest driver, Matt Hamilton took the checkered flag first. Snell finished second followed by Dalton Chaney, Seth Chaney, and Ben Harmon. Heat race winners were Dalton Chaney and Jason Whitaker. The Kolossal Fireworks Insanity Modifieds return to the track on Saturday May 17th.

Ramirez Grabs Feature Win at the Line!

Former Track Champion Landon Ramirez led the 15 lap Lawrence Motorsports early on before Cordell Moore, the defending track champion and multi-time track champion got around Ramirez. It wasn’t long as Landon Ramirez fought back and was able to make a run on the outside of Moore coming to the checkered flag and grab the win by a nose over Moore. Moore finished second followed by Joshua Lainhart, Shannon Walp, and Taylor Alcorn. The Heat race winners were Landon Ramirez and Jesse Ramirez. The Lawrence Motorsports Trailer Sales Hornets return to the track on Saturday May 17th.

AJ Clark Wins Crown Vic Feature!

AJ Clark matched his dad Troy Clark with a feature win a Crown Vic at Lawrenceburg Speedway. He was able to hold off Ed Johnson for the feature win. Clark mentioned in victory lane he is attempting to run for the track championship in the Crown Vic class. Ryan McCracken, Scott Hensley, and Cordell Moore rounded out the top 5. Ed Johnson won the Crown Vic heat race. They return to the track on Saturday June 7th.
