Mod Champ Hamilton wins Friday Night Feature!
Matt Hamilton secured The Budweiser UMP Modified Championship last month with a dominating 2015 season. Friday night he would win for the 7th time in an impressive performance. He would start 9th and quickly set in around the 5th spot. Meanwhile, up front, Richie Lex ran out front and was controlling the pace of the race. With about 7 laps to go, Hamilton’s car came alive and he started passing the likes of Derek Groomer and Joey Kramer to move into second behind Lex. Lex lost the handle on his car, and Hamilton chased him down and passed him with ease. He would lead the rest of the way for the feature win. The rest of the top 5 was Joey Kramer, Derek Groomer, Lex and Pete Holt. Heat race winners were Shawn Brown, Joey Kramer and Richie Lex. Mike Webber won the B Main.
