Bacon Steals the show in Kelsey Chevrolet Season Opener!
Brady Bacon, the defending USAC Sprint Car champion rarely runs a local show but you can bet when he does he is hard to beat. Bacon, driving for the legendary Hoffman Racing Team, stole the show leading to all 25 laps in a relatively easy win for Bacon. Bacon started on the pole and pulled away from the field. His only tense moments came when passing lapped cars. Good racing behind Bacon took place between Landon Simon, Thomas Meseraull, Jarrett Andretti and Shawn Westerfeld. They rounded out the top 5. Good runs were turned in by Justin Owen who ran 6th, and Michael Fischesser who ran 8th. Heat race winners were Landon Simon, Brady Bacon, and Cody Gardner with his first heat race win. The Kelsey Chevrolet Sprints return to Lawrenceburg on Saturday April 18th for Scout Night at the races.
Matt Hamilton Wins after putting car together in 24 hours!
Just 24 hours prior to Saturday’s race, Hamiltons Modified was in pieces. He decided to start to put it together for the 2015 season, and said once he got close to being finished, decided to bring it to The Burg to race. He wasn’t even sure the car would hold together he admitted in victory lane. Hamilton started from the pole and jumped to the lead. It was smooth sailing for the Aurora, Indiana native, until lap 19 when Kyle Schornick tried to pass Hamilton on the low side. They would race side by side down the back stretch until Hamilton regained the advantage and beat him back to the checkered flag. The rest of the top 5 was Schornick, David Spille, Trent Green, and Weasel Rhoades. Heat race winners were Roadhes, Spille, and Green. The Budweiser UMP Modifieds return to the track on Saturday April 18th for Scout Night at the races.
Hensley Wins and Wins!

Defending champ back on track!
Defending Bessler’s U Pull N Save Hornet track champion, Dalton Roark, had a touch opening night last week, but he turned it around on this night to pick up the win. Kevin Stamper led most of the laps last week before losing on the last lap. On this night, we would look to hold the lead and win. Things started out well for Stamper who paced the field early on. Roark was racing him hard for the lead and had made the pass for the lead only to lose it with the caution flag reverting the field back to the previous lap. With the race settling down, Dalton Roark was able to make the pass stick and went on to win the race. Drew Thiel was a strong second with Stamper finishing third followed by Tim Baird and Andrew Roark. Heat race winners were Andrew Roark, Tim Baird, and Drew Thiel. The Bessler’s U Pull N Save Hornets return to Lawrenceburg on Saturday April 18th, for Scout Night at the races.
The next event at Lawrenceburg Speedway is Saturday, April 18th. It’s Scout Night @ The Races: Any scout ages 12 & under who enter the gate in uniform will receive FREE General Admission. Additional event details can be found at www.lawrenceburgspeedway.com
